The Department for Education PHSE Health and Prevention curriculum states that all English primary schools MUST teach pupils about safe and unsafe exposure to the sun and how to reduce their risk of skin cancer – the most common form of cancer in the UK and worldwide.
The Sun Safe Schools national accreditation programme is celebrating 10 years of providing FREE resources that enable primary schools to fulfill their duty of care and provide evidence of their commitment to protection, education and collaboration.
Sun Safe Schools is a comprehensive, COMPLETELY FREE resource officially recognised as Best Practice by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Developed by specialist skin cancer awareness charity SKCIN, the programme is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary, reaching over 1 million children and their families nationwide with vital education and receiving thousands of 5 star testimonials!
