I am passionate about supporting women and empowering them to create lives that they love. Journey Ahead is where this passion lives and breathes.
I work with expectant parents from bump and beyond – from the all-important pregnancy days through to creating better balance and boundaries in their lives once little ones arrive.
I provide full antenatal education (both online and in person and groups or one to one), feeding support, doula services and coaching for busy mums. I’m based in Stockport and am very proud of being a Northern-based birth worker and coach.
I aim to make the services I offer accessible – not just in terms of pricing but also by offering virtual, flexible sessions and free resources where possible.
Babies are always welcome, however they might be feeling that day! Fussiness, noisiness, sleepiness, are never a problem at Lushtums.

We are a grass roots movement, spreading positivity about childbirth via a global network of free Positive Birth groups, linked up by social media.
We believe that every woman deserves a positive birth.
We think a positive birth means:
· Women are where they want to be
· Choices are informed by reality not fear
· Women are listened to and treated with respect and dignity
· Mothers are empowered and enriched
· Memories are warm and proud
Our movement exists because, at a global level, many women are not currently having a positive birth.
We hold the birth experience to be of fundamental importance, to mothers, to fathers, to babies, to families and to society.
We wish to change birth for the better.
We aim to:
· Challenge the culture of negativity and fear that exists around birth
· Share positive birth experiences
· Share information about choices and rights in childbirth
· Encourage women to raise their expectations of childbirth
We will do this by:
· Establishing a network of free to attend positive birth groups
· Linking all groups together via social media to build a global network of shared expertise, power and positivity.
· Working together to challenge the culture of fear that surrounds birth.
· Empowering women to approach birth differently
Groups are held monthly, please click the link below to find out when the next one is and for more information.

We are a global network of antenatal groups, linked up by social media.

The Positive Birth Movement started as a microscopic little egg and now suddenly we find it’s a strong and healthy seven year old – it’s funny how these things go.
What began in 2012 as one small meeting in the living room of writer and campaigner Milli Hill, is now a global network of over 300 ‘real life’ groups, with a massive social media presence too. What began as a grassroots movement is now a continuously growing global organisation.
Our PBM Heaton Chapel group is facilitated by Katy, a Midwife and mum of three. The group is held once a month at St Thomas C of E Church. (SK4 4QG) There is Wheelchair/pram access, baby changing facilities and toys available for children. The group has been well attended by pregnant women, new/experienced mums, hypnobirth practitioners, antenatal teachers and midwives. We welcome anyone to our group who wishes to hear and share positive birth stories and those who have an interest in making birth a more positive experience for women and their families.
