A local charity is calling on people to get their affairs in order this March, and help raise vital funds to support patients across Greater Manchester.
The St Ann’s Hospice Will Week is an annual campaign, which sees dozens of kind hearted solicitors giving their time for free to help people make their Will. Instead of charging their usual fee, they are suggesting that supporters make a donation to St Ann’s Hospice.
Norma Young, Legacy Giving Officer at St Ann’s, said: “It’s human nature to put off thinking about dying and what will happen after we’ve gone. But making a Will is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your family and loved ones, and it’s actually a really simple process.”
John and Joyce Bradshaw made their Will during Will Week last year. Joyce said: “The solicitor was really lovely, and the process was very easy. Now our Will is written, we have peace of mind, knowing that our wishes will be carried out. Giving a donation to St Ann’s instead of paying the solicitor means that we’ve also helped the hospice.”
