I work with expectant parents from bump and beyond – from the all-important pregnancy days through to creating better balance and boundaries in their lives once little ones arrive.
I provide full antenatal education (both online and in person and groups or one to one), feeding support, doula services and coaching for busy mums. I’m based in Stockport and am very proud of being a Northern-based birth worker and coach.
I aim to make the services I offer accessible – not just in terms of pricing but also by offering virtual, flexible sessions and free resources where possible.
You will learn self hypnosis, breathing techniques, active birth management, birth positions, birth choices, partner’s role and so much more, all to empower you to trust your instincts and ensure that you and your baby have the right birth for you on the day.
There is no right or wrong way to give birth with The Wise Hippo only the right way for each individual mum and baby.

The evening weekday course follows The WiseHippo Birthing Programme (TWH) and the intensive day follows Katharine Graves Hypnobirthing (KGH). Both of these in-depth programmes offer the same information and include, how the body works during pregnancy, labour and birth, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. The full course materials include a Book, MP3 music files, guided notes and ongoing support from me as required. The one day intensive courses are for those who prefer a shortened course format or for when time is limited, includes the same information as for the full course, but with reduced time for practicing, watching births on DVD and extended group discussions.
To allow everyone to get the very best experience, places are limited on the group courses to a small number of couples.
