Pick Your Own Pumpkin this Halloween
Carving a Pumpkin is a firm Halloween tradition, but going to pick your won Pumpkin at local farms is becoming an increasingly popular day out for families. Here’s a quick round up of places you can choose your own pumpkin, with some venues offering to let you carve there, saving you the clean up job at home! Prices vary considerably dependent on whether its a full day out you’re looking for, or just simply picking the perfect pumpkin.
Many of these venues are incredibly popular, don’t leave it too late to book/visit. If you want to wait until closer to Halloween to carve your pumpkin, keep it safely stored somewhere cool, dry and dark and it will be ready when you are.
Halloween Farm Fun at Reddish Vale Farm

A long standing family favourite in Stockport, Reddish Vale Farm’s seasonal events are becoming increasingly popular. Book your visit between 2nd October and 31st October to pick your own pumpkin and take it to the carving cavern to carve it. In addition, there is vampire archery, prizes for children in fancy dress, Witches hat Hoopla and much more including all the usual farm fun.

Cockfields Farm Pumpkin Festival 2021
Cockfields Farm Park, Lees New Rd, Ashton Under Lyne, OL6 8AR
Find the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, carve in the carving area and save yourself the clean up at home.
There is also a Monster Mashup Disco, Tractor and Trailer rides around the farm, unlimited rides on the fairground carousel and the giant bouncy pillow.
All the usual Animal activities are running as normal, cuddle a Bunny, cuddle a Guinea Pig, meet the Snakes & Lizards and hand feed the Barn Animals.

Kenyon Hall Farm

One of the biggest pumpkin picking destinations in Europe! The pumpkin picking season will run every day from 1st-31st October and advanced bookings are essential.
As well as the outdoor pumpkin patch with over 15, 000 pumpkins grown this year, visitors can also choose from the huge indoor display of ready picked pumpkins of all shapes, colours and sizes.
Tickets are £2 per person (adults and children) under 18months go free. The entry ticket does not include the pumpkin and these are priced by size from £2.

The Hayloft

The pumpkin patches will be opening for the 6th year on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September 2021 from 10am, and then every day from 2nd-31st October, excluding Friday 8th and Friday 15th October. This year, the farm will also be open until 7pm to offer twilight and afterschool pumpkin picking.
You can also pick your own sweetcorn! No need to book, pay for what you pick.
The Spooky Maze will be open at a cost of £3.50 per child, £2,50 per adult and the miniature railway and tractor rides will be available, weather permitting. Dogs on short leads are welcome and the coffee shop will be open.
