As adults, we know how important physical activity can be for both our mental and physical well-being. And the same is also true for children. Introducing physical activity from a young age can bring a wealth of benefits that can last into the teenage years and beyond. Research shows positive effects on mood, self esteem and sleep, improved posture and balance and helps build a stronger heart, muscles and bones. But because of our modern lifestyles and the increased use of technology, adults and children are becoming less active. We know that inactive children are also likely to become inactive adults, therefore increasing the risk of major health conditions.
The NHS Guidelines state that children under 5 should be spending a minimum of 3 hours being active each day. See the NHS Guidelines here.

And that’s exactly what we aim to do at Balance Babies. We want to support children aged 6 months to 4 years access sport and physical activity from an early age. Balance Babies is a soft play sports club and we build the basics in all sports. We are unique in what we offer and would love to give you the chance to try out our classes for FREE in December 2019!
