Back in Time Scarecrow Festival 26th August – 14th September 2019
Following the enormous success of previous Scarecrow events, which have raised lots of money for Rotary supported charities, the Bramhall & Woodford Rotary Club invite you to come along to see the ‘BACK IN TIME’ SCARECROWS around Bramhall village between the 26th August and the 14th September.
Billy Bow and Bella are inviting all their chums to come to Bramhall Village for a fun time. So bring your own Scarecrow themed to go Back in Time to join them in the village for judging on Saturday 14th September.

They can be obtained by contacting Maggie at firstname.lastname@example.org or through the Club website www.bwrotary.org or the Facebook page Bramhall and Woodford Rotary. After that you have free rein to dress your scarecrow however you like but with the ‘Back in Time’ theme. Props are allowed. Or you can make your own scarecrow, show it off in your front garden and enter the competition for just £10. You might win £100!!!
Shops and businesses are being encouraged to display their scarecrows outside their premises for three weeks from 26th August for shoppers to enjoy and attract people to our lovely village centre.
This year will be a bit special because, at around midday, we will be able to welcome the final stage of the Tour Of Britain cycle race which will be coming through the Village. Billy Bow with Bella and the twins will be out waving to the riders as they pass by. Why not come and join them? But please be aware that there will be rolling road closures around the area for about 30 minutes before they race arrives. PLUS FREE PARKING on the day thanks to Stockport M.B.C.
The Bramhall & Woodford Rotary Club are very pleased to announce that this event is being supported by Redrow Homes who are currently developing the Woodford Garden Village, Prestbury Travel, our local independent travel agent and #EXPLOREBramhall, local businesses coming together encouraging you to explore the independent shops in Bramhall village.
There will be music and dance throughout the village from 11 am on the final Saturday including the mystifying magicians, Bramhall School of Dancing, uniyclists and stiltwalkers, Poynton Jemmers and Adlington Morrismen. Plus there will be a trail for the kids to follow with a prize goody bag at the end.
