You may have heard the Red House’s Play Farm will sadly be closing to the public next month, however, the good news is that the Pick Your Own Pumpkin events will continue! Hurrah! They have been growing thousands of Pumpkins and they are ready for picking.
Head over between 10am and 4pm (last entry at 3:30pm) and choose your pumpkin. There is no entry fee, you pay per pumpkin and the cost is dependent on size. Cash and card are both accepted.
You can pick your pumkin on the following days;
Weekend 12/13th October
Everyday Sat 19th-Sunday 27th October
28th October onwards will be dependent on the availability of pumpkins, so do call ahead to check before you travel; 0161 941 3480
Unfortunately, this year, the majority of pumpkins havn’t grown and there isn’t a genuine pumpkin patch to pick from. However, fear not! Instead, there is a ‘Pumpkin Parade’! This is an outdoor field with rows of harvested pumpkins laid out for you to chose from. It’s not technically pumpkin icing bt it’s as close as the farm can get this year.
The indoor display and outdoor parade are now open with a huge range of sizes, shapes and colours. The difficult part will be making your choice!
The farm is open everyday from 9am-5:30pm and booking is not required. The pumpkin carving area will opne on 12th October.
Entry to the farm, carpark and all pumpkin display areas is free. The pumpkins are graded by size and cost between £2 to £10+. Entry to the carving area costs £3 per pumpkin with access to equipment, designs and of course you leave the mess behind!
